E. M. Bounds (1835-1913) was trained to be a lawyer before he entered the ministry during his twenties. Throughout his life he was a man deeply devoted to prayer who has inspired many through his books on prayer including: Power Through Prayer, The Essentials of Prayer, The Necessity of Prayer, and The Weapon of Prayer (and his complete works). Through his writings he has inspired many to deepen their dependence on God and usefulness to God through prayer. I hope these quotes do the same for you.
