Free Kevin DeYoung Book for Kindle: Taking God at His Word

Kevin DeYoung is one of my favorite authors because of the clarity and humor he writes with. He also doesn’t shy away from tackling issues that are vital to the Christian faith like What Does the Bible Really Teach about Homosexuality? and Taking God at His Word: Why the Bible is Knowable, Necessary, and Enough—and What it Means for You and Me

I reviewed this book while back and shared this conclusion:

Not many books are this important. Not many books are this clear, concise, and just plain encouraging. DeYoung doesn’t do anything revolutionary or innovative, but rather provides the church a book to instill confidence in the Good Book–which is something always welcome and needed.

Reading Taking God at His Word made me feel like I was at a pep rally being revved up about the authority, sufficiency, and power of the unbreakable Scriptures. It is a practical tool for Christians desiring to strengthen their theology of Scripture in a short but powerful volume.

This is a book I will reread, give out, and give my highest recommendation.

A Timely Book

In our rapidly changing culture, biblical authority is too important to neglect.

That’s why we recently decided to give away Taking God At His Word: Why the Bible Is Knowable, Necessary, and Enough, and What That Means for You and Me by Kevin DeYoung, a helpful and timely resource for Christians today.

In the book, DeYoung answers important questions about the Bible raised by Christians and non-Christians alike, helping us understand what the Bible says about itself and the key characteristics that contribute to its lasting significance.
