Anchored in Christ

Big tech companies seem to have more control over our lives and the entire world as each day passes. The power these companies wield dwarf that of most countries and manipulate our us for both profit and their political and social agenda.

But don’t let these things keep you up at night. Our Sovereign Creator has total control of Silicon Valley. A listener wrote in to a Christian radio show (Sandy Rios in the Morning) recently and had the following to share[1]:

Hi Sandy,

Thank you for curating your daily news delivery so pointedly in ensure we hear and have the opportunity to understand truth. I ask for anonymity as I am writing to represent a large group of men and women who are awakening to the truth inside of large tech hubs based in Silicon Valley. You will not hear about what is happening inside the teams of Twitter, Facebook, Apple, Uber, Pinterest, Google, etc. as discretion is of utmost importance for each of us right now.

But there is a true revival happening inside of each and every one of these corporations. Eyes are being opened to the truth as this fight for civil liberties begins to reveal and expose the undercurrents of evil to the very generation so many thought was lost. Men and women thirty to thirty five years of age who were raised in faith-filled homes are right now reclaiming their faith by quietly, strategically pointing colleagues to truth. This is not our grandmother’s revival. This is most certainly will not be represented in the news. But a true revival is happening and it is harvesting of souls by thousands.

I understand that many are discouraged by the blatant global agenda within our social hubs and within Silicon Valley at large, but I write this to encourage your hearts and the hearts of your listeners in sharing that God has raised thousands up thousands to be strategically placed on the inside, walking in prayer, in the very places this evil is so thick.

The Holy Ghost fire is raining upon and within us right now opening up doors to speak truth and reclaim the souls of more than I can count to report. It is happening quietly, but it is happening. Be encouraged, the Lord is within these places! He has led us into these places for such a time as this.

I also write to ask that you and your listeners pray for all of the brothers and sisters in Christ who have been planted within these global tech hubs in Silicon Valley, and they do not assume all associated are themselves evil. Quite the contrary, there are many of us.

Our Lord is coming, and He ensured in advance that He would have a mighty army in the very places the evil wishes to claim. We are awakening to the truth and claiming souls to stand with us along the way. It is amazing and truly of God that He has led so many in my generation to the Bay Area. Many of those I’m representing (myself included) were raised in faith but loosened or altogether traded faith in for the glitz and glam of the techie lifestyle. We did not come to Silicon Valley claiming our faith, but we are claiming it now. We ask that discretion, wisdom, and revelation be prayed over us in abundance. Our battles are not with flesh and blood but with principalities and spirits.

We plead that our faith-filled elders stop shouting at one another inside of public platforms but instead choose to lead us in spiritual maturity by standing boldly on the promises of God and by fighting this battle with us in praise and in prayer.

We also want to encourage those who are afraid. God has already won and has already placed a victory to you right here within these very places that our enemy believes He has the most control over. Media feeds you stories of fear, but much peace is here. What a brilliant God we serve, always taking what the enemy means for harm and using it to manifest His glory. Praise Jesus for opening our eyes and eyes! We praise Him for His revival inside of Silicon Valley!

I don’t normally share anonymous letters sent to radio shows I don’t listen to on this blog, but this one certainly caught my attention. The actions of tech giants reported by the media can be discouraging, but we must not forget that the news doesn’t tell the whole story. Jesus Christ is building His church and neither the gates of Hell or the tech giants of Silicon Valley will prevail. Not only that, He can use their conniving to accomplish His eternal purposes!

Pray with me for the writer of this letter and the rest of Silicon Valley to experience a true spiritual transformation and for many more to come to saving faith and joyful repentance in Christ.
