Hey friends!

Hope you’re doing well. My summer is flying by but has been blessed by the Lord in so many ways.

This month I share some amazing articles resources, so check them out! 🙂

I’d love to know where newsletter subscribers are from, so reply to this email with a city/country location.

Video: The 5 Minute Case for Protestantism by Gavin Ortlund

Angels and the Local Church by Graham Cole. My former professor might encourage you to be more biblical with this article!

“One could argue that your worldview is too small if it leaves out angels, Satan and demons. This lack can be a problem at two levels: espoused and operational. At the espoused level, the believer never thinks about angels, Satan, and demons. These themes are not part of their espoused theology unlike the belief that Jesus is God incarnate. At the operational level, believers may espouse the doctrine, but it plays no part, for example in their prayer life, even though Jesus taught disciples to pray, ‘But deliver us from the evil one’.”

Free Faith-Building Documentary: Jesus in Athens – on God’s Work in Migrants in Greece from Training Leaders International. Some great sights and stories of God at work. A great reminder of how Christ is building His church and the gates of hell can’t prevail.

Another free documentary, this time with a warning label: What Is Woman? by Matt Walsh and The Daily Wire. The well-produced documentary shares interviews with transgender doctors and activists, taking the mask off of the evil and profoundly harmful ideology. According to Twitter, it’s been viewed over 190 million times. (The warning label is due to the graphic nature of conversations and some images dealing with transgenderism.) Read Tim Challies’ review for more info.

Not If but When: Reflections on 4 Different Kinds of Healing by Andrew and Rachel Wilson. Amen and amen.

If Satan Took Up Marriage Counseling by Tim Challies. A lot of wisdom for couples in this one.

As Christian, I Went Down the AI Rabbit Hole. Here Are 12 Things I Discovered by Akos Balogh

What We Miss When We Skip the Book of Nehemiah by Ryan Higginbottom

Why are young liberals so unhappy? It turns out that worldview built on perpetual outrage isn’t healthy by Joseph Backholm. I don’t usually like to wade into politics on this blog for a few reasons, but this article has important insights for my country, reminding us of the importance of hope.

“The study, released in December of 2022, found that liberal teens are more likely to be depressed than their conservative peers. In fact, liberal boys are more likely to be depressed than conservative girls, which suggests that political beliefs are more significant than gender when it comes to depression.”
