Pursuing God, Not Pornography: Sermon on 2 Timothy 2:22

Communication Successful Positive Mobile Concept

Pornography is one of the greatest issues facing the church today. Studies estimate that “64% of Christian men and 15% of Christian women say they watch porn at least once a month.” We need biblical perspective and hope on such a vital issue.

“So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.” 2 Timothy 2:22

Denny Burk, Professor at Boyce College and blogger, preached a sermon on 2 Timothy 2:22 titled “Pursuing God, Not Pornography” on April 10, 2016 at Kenwood Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. You can listen to that sermon below.

Here are two important quotes from the sermon:

“Your active striving against sin is not legalism. It’s the evidence the Holy Spirit is having His way with you.” Denny Burk

“The church is God’s plan for your sanctification.” Denny Burk
