The Disciples Wouldn’t Have Died for a Lie

The disciples wouldn’t have given their lives for the sake of Christ if they didn’t believe 100% that He rose from the dead.

I’ve always found that fact fascinating, especially since thinking about it while reading Josh McDowell’s More than a Carpenter in college. There is just so much logical proof for Jesus’ resurrection and so many problems if you deny it!

In lieu of a full article, I thought I’d serve up three of my “greatest hits” as it relates to Easter weekend.

1. The Power in the Blood of Jesus Christ in which I share six gifts we receive from the cross of Jesus.

2. Historical Evidence for the Resurrection that Even the Skeptics Believe. I share a few encouraging videos of Gary Habermas, an expert on the resurrection of Christ. The shortest video is three minutes and may make you binge watch the others!

3. 10 Reasons the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is Important. This is probably the most-read piece I’ve ever written. I estimate that the Spanish version has been read well over 1 million times. I know that this weekend it will be shared with people in various places, including at a women’s prison in Montana. (Pray for God to stir up hope in His resurrected Son!) I’m humbled that an old article could have such an impact. It’s not my most well-written piece by any means, but it is the greatest news you could ever imagine. And the article is filled with Scripture. That’s why it has blessed so many.

I hope you and yours have a worshipful Easter weekend.

He is risen!
