Video: Jerry Bridges on Preaching the Gospel to Yourself Everyday

Jerry Bridges is responsible for making the term “preaching the gospel to yourself everyday” popular. Chapter three of his classic book The Discipline of Grace: God’s Role and Our Role in the Pursuit of Holiness outlines preaching the gospel to yourself by first sharing what the gospel is, then why we need to preach to ourselves, and finally how to do it.

Bridges recently spoke on this topic at The Orchard Evangelical Free Church in Barrington, IL. Below is the video of Bridges sharing this powerful and life-changing message. (Navigate about six minutes in for when Bridges begins speaking.)
